Object 6 is the main location of INSOMNIA: The Ark. An interplanetary megalithic station created for the colonization of remote star systems. It is a multi-level metropolis with fully autonomous life support systems that are capable of accommodating up to 10 million colonists. The station was designed for the long haul, with the aim of allowing its inhabitants to be fully self-sustained.
The majority of Object 6's systems were automated and the engines were functional. it was possible to activate the life support systems of several modules relatively quickly. the station was found to possess an autonomous control system and take-off could be performed by a standard team of cosmic pilots. The scientists had a lot of work to do - the decline in human prgress caused by the war made it so that much of the old technology used to build the station was perceived by the current generation of engineers as innovative.
The official maps show just over half of the available sectors. Exploring the rest of the station has proved to be challenging due to rubble, floods and the overall damage sustained from bombing during the Last War. Currently, the station is home to about 1.5 million people, of whom 600,000 are located in Urb and 900,000 in the Near Range and Junkyard.
Object 6 has been on its way to the mysterious Evacuation Point for more than 412 years based on a pre-programmed course. The Station's Control Node is closely guarded by the government.
